WELCOME TO EQAD
Based in The Midlands, UK, EQAD Film Festival welcomes films and film makers celebrating and representing Equality and Diversity.
SUBMISSIONS for 2021 are now CLOSED
Our judges and film makers were kind enough to join us on March 15th 2021 for the presentation of awards for the first ever EQAD Film Festival
We received 2404 submissions this year, which was overwhelming and made it nigh on impossible to show case and link to everyone on a single platform.
So we focussed on a smaller group of 55 films, split into catagories with finalists and winners in each section.
These were chosen by a panel of 20 judges representing the industry and diversity.

EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
Whilst inroads have been made to represent and reward equality and diversity in the film and television industry over the last few years, there is still lots more that can be done.
We have set up EQAD to address this lack of representation and reward and to create a network whereby films can be shared on an accessible platform with the hope of linking into the bigger festivals and awards organisations and getting all aspects of diverse film making noticed and credited.
With the restrictions on gatherings due to coronavirus, we used this opportunity to make the festival web based over a streaming platform. This has immediately make it far more accessible to a much wider audience.
There has been no charge to submit films to this festival this yea and we also streamed the event for free as well to make this first festival totally non profit and even more accessible.
